The Arburtus tree is one of my favourites. It is said to be the tree of knowledge. It sheds it red bark every spring and reveals it's soft smooth woody flesh that is great for making things with. |
There are two wolf packs on the island that frequent the beach near the house I live in. I haven't seen them but hear them at night often |
The beaches of the Northern Islands are covered with driftwood. Many people collect it for building their houses with as well as for decorative art |
